If you’ve been in our office in the month of June, you know what’s coming! It’s our annual Summer Sunglass Sale. We offer 30% OFF all in stock sunglasses. They are all ready to wear with proper UV protection but we always encourage you to have a back up pair with your distance prescription if that fits your lifestyle. If wearing sunglasses for style isn’t enough to encourage you to pick your favorite, here are seven more reasons you should wear them:
1. PREVENT SUN-RELATED HEALTH PROBLEMS
They can prevent: skin cancer, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and pterygiums. Not fun.
2. PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS
Snow, sand, wind & dust. Need we say more?
3. PROMOTE HEALING & RECOVERY
If you’ve had LASIK or PRK surgery to correct your vision, you should be extra sure to wear sunglasses. Your doctor may recommend a pair for you to wear immediately after the procedure, but continuing to wear sunglasses can protect your eyes as they heal and as you adjust to your new vision. If you’ve had cataract surgery, eyelid repair, or another procedure to correct your vision, you’ll also benefit from wearing protective sunglasses.
4. YOU’LL SEE MORE & ENJOY THE OUTDOORS MORE
Heard of polarized lenses? If you wear them, the images are sharper, there’s less glare, and the colors and contrast are improved. If you enjoy fishing or spending time on the water, with the right sunglasses, you’ll be able to see through the glare on top of the water and notice fish and aquatic life that you never even knew was there!
5. FEWER HEADACHES & MIGRAINES: YOU’LL BE MORE COMFORTABLE
Who doesn’t like comfort?
6. FOR SAFER DRIVING.
Duh.
7. SUNGLASSES ARE STYLISH!
And of course… a reason not to be missed! Sunglasses come in many colors, shapes, and styles and there’s sure to be (at least!) one that you’ll love. You can even have different sunglasses for different activities or to coordinate with different clothing styles!
*This includes ready to wear sunglasses with no prescription and any frame purchased with prescription sunglass lenses. Limited to frames in stock (no special orders). Offer not valid when combined with insurance. Valid June 1 – June 30, 2016 only.
